El Programa EcoMar, Inc. es una institución científica y educativa dominicana, sin fines de lucro, reconocida ante la Oficina Nacional de la Propiedad Industrial con registro 514309 y la Dirección General de Impuestos Internos con el RNC 424002045; constituida por el Decreto Presidencial 943 del 19 de septiembre de 2001, aprobada por la Resolución 004 del 20 de febrero de 2019 de la Procuraduría General de la República tras cumplir con la modificación de estatutos de la Ley 122-05 y habilitada ante el Ministerio de Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales mediante certificación del 15 de febrero de 2019.

La institución desarrolla proyectos de investigación en educación y gestión ambiental, pesquerías, ecología y biodiversidad costera y marina, cambio climático y planificación territorial (municipal y regional). Cuenta con una revista científica: Reporte de Investigación del Programa EcoMar (ISSN 2737-6605) y una plataforma de Sistema de Información Geográfica para desarrollo de productos cartográficos.

Programa EcoMar, Inc. is a non lucrative Dominican scientific and educational institu-tion, registered by the National Office of Industrial Property with registration number 514309 and the General Directorate of Internal Taxes with RNC 424002045; constitut-ed by Presidential Decree 943 of September 19, 2001, approved by Resolution 004 of February 20, 2019 of the Office of the Attorney General of the Republic after complying with the process of modification of the statutes established in Law 122-05 and enabled before the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources through certification of February 15, 2019.

The institution develops research projects in the lines of education and environmental management, fisheries, ecology and coastal and marine biodiversity, climate change and territorial planning (municipal and regional). It has a scientific jounal: Reporte de Investigación del Programa EcoMar (ISSN 2737-6605) an a Geographic Information System platform for the development of its cartographic products.
